Unstract Open Source Edition
If you love to tinker, Unstract Open Source is for you.
Note: The following advanced features are unavailable in Unstract Open Source Edition, and are included in Unstract's Cloud and On-Premise offerings:
- LLMChallenge. Uses two Large Language Models to give you output you can trust. You either get the right response or no response at all.
- SinglePass Extraction: Reduces LLM token usage in your projects by up to 8x, saving you costs.
- SummarizedExtraction: Reduces LLM token usage in your projects by up to 6x, saving you costs.
- Human Quality Review: Side-by-side comparison of extracted value and source document with source segment highlighting for human review / tweaking.
- SSO Support: Supports a variety of authentication options to easy onboarding and off-boarding of your enterprise users.
These features are all available in the Unstract Cloud Edition as well.
Installation
System requirements
- You'll need 8GB of free RAM to ensure smooth operation
Prerequisites
- Linux or MacOS (Intel or M-series)
- Docker
- Docker Compose (sometimes you need to install this separately)
- Git (if you plan to clone the repo rather than download a release)
Get up and running
You can find the Unstract Open Source Edition source code repository on GitHub. To run Unstract you can either download one of the releases (recommended) or clone the Unstract repository. The package should contain the run-platform.sh
script, which you need to then run to get all the required containers pulled and started. The steps look something like this:
- Step 1: Run the script:
$ ./run-platform.sh
- Step 2: Now visit http://frontend.unstract.localhost in your browser.
- Step 3: Use user name and password
